Letter from our President |

This is the last newsletter article that I will be doing after two years of being president of Dublin Music Boosters. During that time, I have met a lot of very wonderful, hard working and dedicated parents committed to help improve the music programs in Dublin. Many of these parents have become very close friends and I know our friendship will continue even after our children move on to college. Not only has Austin made lifetime friends from marching band, but I have been that lucky as well! This spring has been a busy time getting ready for changes in our homes. As parents, we have worked very hard for 18 years trying to prepare our children to be independent and ready to live “out of the house”. These last few weeks of school really shows us that we have succeeded to help produce responsible young adults. The directors have been a big part of their lives also. Band, choir and orchestra are one of the few classes in which our child will likely have the same teacher for their entire four years. Our directors set high expectations, require personal responsibility, help our children become leaders and also how to work together as a team. These are skills our children will need all of their lives. In closing, I would like to wish the new regime good luck for the upcoming year. Please continue your support of the Dublin music programs and enjoy all of the great musicians and their performances. It is now time for me to enjoy the music. Nancy Music Notes - May, 2009 |

Kroger & Scrip Fundraising for the Disney Trip |
|
Tuesday, 03 March 2009 |
In an effort to make Kroger and Scrip fundraising equal and fair for all three high schools, below is a brief description of the two programs. Since Jerome’s meeting is March 2 and Coffman’s and Scioto’s are both March 16 (this was unavoidable; it was due to facilities scheduling for the meeting locations), we wanted to give all families the opportunity to start their fundraising at the same time. Each school has a Coordinator for this fundraising (see names & contact info above). Please contact your school’s Coordinator with any questions. These individuals will be speaking at the Coffman and Scioto Parent Info Meetings on March 16 and will give greater detail about the programs at that time. Please note that all questions and activity for Kroger and Scrip fundraising are conducted through the coordinators named above. The trip coordinators or school staff/band directors cannot answer your questions, or collect your money, or sell you a Kroger card, or deliver your Scrip order. Below is a very brief overview. |
