Coffman Choir - April 2010

Congratulations to the Women's Symphonic Choir for receiving a "Superior" rating at OMEA District Choir Contest.  Also to SSA Chorus for receiving a rating of "Excellent" at contest.  

The spring musical, Oklahoma, will be presented April 15, 16 and 17th at 7:00pm in the Coffman PAC.

There has been a change of date for the final choir concert of the year.    The concert will be MONDAY, MAY 24 at 7:00 PM in the PAC.  This evening will recognize outstanding members of each performing group and also celebrate the Class of 2010.   

The choirs will be participating in the Trills and Thrills Music Festival at Cedar Point on Friday, May 21.

Nominating Committee Selected

The Nominating Committee members have been selected for the elections that will be held in May for the 2010-2011 Executive Board positions. All positions on the Executive Board are elected for a one year term, so all positions will be voted on in May.

Dublin Coffman Choir - Spring 2010 Update

The Dublin Coffman choirs had nineteen different vocal events participate in Solo & Ensemble on Saturday Feb. 13th. Fifteen of those events received a Superior Rating and four received an Excellent Rating. We are exceedingly proud of all of our students.

Dublin Youth String Orchestra

The Dublin Youth String Orchestra will be taking a tour of the Cleveland area on March 5th.  Tour stops will include a clinic at The Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music with Laura Joss, Director of String Education.  A matinee concert at Severance Hall with the Cleveland Orchestra, followed by a Q&A with David Alan Harrell, a Cleveland Orchestra cellist.  A concert and tour at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & Museum.  Ending with dinner at Buca di Beppo's!

DYSO rehearses at Karrer on Monday evenings and is for Dublin string students in grades 5-9.
