To Our Concession Volunteers:

Mike, Buddy and I want to thank every volunteer that supported the concession stands this fall. Our tireless parents, students and alumni gave their time and talents to make this a great season. You were a wonderful bunch of people to work with and you made our jobs easier by selflessly answering our calls for volunteers. It was a long season, but time and again you came through when we urgently needed help and we can’t say thank you nearly enough. We’d like to say a special thanks to Steve Barnhardt and Ron Weber for their unstinting contributions and dedication to making it a successful season. It’s time for a rest guys!

Each volunteer contributed his or her time to cold, rainy football nights or to even colder, too-early Saturday mornings for field hockey, freshman football or soccer games. Because of the rain, it turned out the concession stand was the best place to be! Thanks for burning your fingers at the popcorn machine or for freezing your hands working with the ice at the beverage dispenser. We couldn’t have efficiently served the fans without help preparing pretzels and hotdogs or someone to man the pizza, chicken sandwiches, hot chocolate and coffee. It wouldn’t have been possible at all without the counter help that took the orders and gave the change. We were a team and you showed why Band parents, friends and our amazing students are some of the best people at Scioto!

It’s been a privilege to work with you and we enjoyed meeting each and every one of you. Have a great winter and we hope to see you again in the spring.
