The DCHS Choir had a very successful start to the year with their first concert, “A Fall Musical Celebration”, showcasing all five Coffman choirs.  The concert also featured the Chamber and Concert Orchestras.  Under the direction of Miss Cyndi Brewer and Mrs. Melissa Dover, the groups performed several musical pieces culminating in the final presentation featuring A cappella choir, Chorale and the Chamber Orchestra,  Antonio Vivaldi’s “Gloria”,featuring soloists Lizzie Hutcheson, Mollie Grubb, Audra Shoupe, Marisa Karoutsos and Lizzie Jones.  Other soloists for the evening included Cole Walker, Jon Paskett, Alex Behr, Jena Albers and Alison Roth, accompanied by Mrs. Kathleen Zelnik on piano.

The DCHS Choirs are preparing for their holiday concert on Wednesday, December 16th at 7:00pm in the PAC.  Soloists for the evening will be: Sarah Asad, Kiersa Willits, Rico Estes, Bobbie Lewe, Alex Behr and Phillip Miele.

Students are also gearing up for Solo & Ensemble in February.  The following choirs will be participating in the District Choir Contest in March: Women's Symphonic, SSA Chorus and Chorale.

The DCHS A Cappella Chamber Choir recently went caroling (you may have heard them).  All proceeds will go to the Heart Lab at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.  Special thanks to Elaine Grubb for opening her home and providing tasty treats for the group.
